The Segovia Orienteering Club (Segovia-O), in collaboration with the city councils of Segovia and La Granja de San Ildefonso, would like to invite you to take part in the Segovia City Orienteering Trophy. This event forms part of the official calendar of the Northern League, FOCYL League, and Madrid League, and during this weekend the final round of the European Urban Orienteering League is being held with the Segovia City Race (City Race Euro Tour). The event consists of three races to create the 2nd Ciudad de Segovia Trophy: middle distance, sprint and urban long distance.
Hundreds of orienteers from all over the country and abroad will gather in Segovia, a monumental city designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Known for its impressive Roman Aqueduct, the Alcázar, the Cathedral, and a medieval old town full of alleyways, squares and hidden corners that make up an exceptional setting for a long-distance urban orienteering event.
And to have a magical weekend, on 25 October is the local festival of Segovia, «San Frutos», and there is a very full programme of cultural activities, concerts, dances, traditional food... Do you know of any better plan for a weekend?
